Decemeber 3-5 in Adams Memorial Theater
Directed by Alex Paseltiner ’16
“You’re going to die in an hour and a half, you’re going to die at the end of the show.” King Berenger the First, naturally, doesn’t believe the news — he’s been ruling over his empire for centuries, the sun and the moon turn at his command.
Then the signs begin to appear. Mars and Saturn collide. The Milky Way curdles. The half of the kingdom that isn’t liquified falls into The Pit. What else could go wrong?
Ben Brantley of the New York Times, reviewing the 2009 Drama Desk Award-nominated revival notes, “The genius of [Exit The King]’s presentation…is in its use of rowdy comic grotesquerie to lure us into raw and very real emotional territory.”
